Ten years ago I was renting out my own first cottage. I knew what I wanted as the owner: someone who'd treat the property the way I would, answer the phone when I called, notice the things that needed noticing, understand the difference between maintenance and upkeep. I couldn't find it.

So I built it.

Today Cotswold Co-host looks after some of the loveliest homes in the Cotswolds, and a small but growing handful in Devon. The work is straightforward: we list each property to a premium standard, distribute it across eight or so booking channels, set the price to follow the market rather than the wishful number, communicate with guests from booking through review, and keep the home itself in good shape week after week. None of those are exotic services. What's exotic is doing all of them well, all of the time, for properties an owner actually cares about.

The team has grown to more than ten people, dedicated housekeepers (each property has theirs; nobody rotates), a maintenance lead, trusted local trades on call, and the people who keep the calendar honest. Each of them knows the houses they look after the way you know your own.

A few things I won't compromise on:

The owner stays the owner. You can use your house when you want, for as long as you want. No block-out fees, no usage caps. I designed the business this way because that's how I'd want to keep my own home.

Revenue share, not cleaning fees. We make money when you make money. The economics of the business are aligned with yours, not with maximising changeovers or padding line items.

The right return, not the highest occupancy. Sometimes that's the £600/night booking and an empty Tuesday. Sometimes it's a longer stay at a slower rate. The judgement call is mine to make based on your property and your goals; I just make it like it's my house.

I read every inquiry that comes in. The first conversation is over the phone, no commitment, no presentation deck, just a chat about your property and what you want it to be doing for you. If we're a fit, we're a fit. If not, you'll hear me say so.

And our team

Behind Cotswold Co-host is a team of more than ten: dedicated housekeepers assigned to specific properties, a maintenance lead, and the people who handle guest communication and operations. Each property has its own housekeeper rather than a rotating crew. We'll publish the team in full once everyone has had their say on photos and bios.
